Randal LaRocca Obituary

Randy LaRocca, 54, of Glastonbury, CT, passed away serenely this Friday, March 27th 2015, in the loving presence of his family and friends. Randy was born on December 18th, 1960 to Virginia Louise Manuel LaRocca and Charles Joseph LaRocca in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He is a graduate of Lake Charles High School and attended McNeese State University and Louisiana State University. He moved to Glastonbury in 1987 with his wife and high school sweetheart, Laurie Barnett LaRocca, whom he is survived by along with their children Lauren and Tyler. He is also survived by his siblings Leda LaRocca Lofaso and husband Frank Lofaso, Debbie LaRocca Long and husband Bruce Long, Leon LaRocca and wife Lori LaFargue LaRocca, and a large extended family. He is preceded by his parents, Virginia Louise Manuel LaRocca and Charles Joseph LaRocca. Randy was a selfless and compassionate husband and father whose life's greatest joy was his children. A well-loved man of many trades and talents, he was an avid LSU fan (Geaux Tigers!), and a generous and involved volunteer with Connecticut Swimming. He brought smiles and laughter everywhere he went and was a friend to all who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held this Monday, March 30th at 6:30pm in the sanctuary of the Congregational Church of South Glastonbury, on the corner of High St. and Main St. in South Glastonbury, Connecticut. Visiting hours will be in the church social hall from 4pm to 6pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. For online condolences, please visit www.mulryanfh.com
