Raymond Revoir Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family announces that Raymond Leonard Revoir, 84, of Bonita Springs, Florida, died Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Gulf Coast Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, Florida, following a brief illness. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Ann Revoir, and his brother, David A. Revoir. He leaves his sons, Leonard R. Revoir and his wife Susan, and Raymond A. Revoir and his wife Donna, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren whom he adored, Dean Revoir and his wife, Lindsay, Raeann Olinda and her husband Dave, Sarah Delorm and her husband Andrew, Adam Revoir, and Alexandra Revoir, and great-grandchildren, Brody and Ella Revoir, along with his sister-in-law, Pat Revoir, and her daughters, Linda and Deborah. Born and raised in New Britain, the son of Leonard Revoir and Gladys Volg, he was a lifelong resident of both Berlin, CT, and Bonita Springs, FL. After graduating from New Britain High School in 1950, he joined the US Navy in 1952, and proudly served his country during the Korean War aboard the USS LST 528. After serving in the Navy, he worked for Southern New England Telephone Company until his retirement in 1985. An avid fisherman, he loved the ocean, and cherished his time fishing and boating in southern Florida. A private graveside memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Porter's Funeral Service in Berlin is assisting his family with local arrangements.
