Dear Mr. and Mrs. McGill:
We've never met, but you've been in my thoughts so often since Beckie's accident. I was a member of Pat Koss's CT knitting group, and recently learned that you and she were friends. My heart aches for your loss; although I'm late to this site, I wanted to let you know that people like me think of you.

Not a day has gone by that I don't think of Beckie and Mimi and Dave. My daughter, Morgan, was one of Beckie's best friends. Being a thousand miles away, I was not able to have the pleasure of knowing Beckie personally. The night after Beckie's funeral we were graciously invited over to Beckie's house for dinner. That night I got to know Beckie through the many stories that were told. What an amazing night it was!! So much laughter and so many tears. For a month now, I've tried to imagine and feel what Mimi and Dave are going through. Although totally impossible, what I've tried to understand about life is the "big picture." Not one person here on earth knows how many days they will be here. So when someone like Beckie takes life by the reins and lives everyday to the fullest, time does not truly exist. What she has done in her short earthly time has taken most decades, if ever, to achieve. We should all be forever grateful for her life and for what she has taught us all about life. We will all live the rest of our lives missing Beckie, but also celebrating what she has given us. Find comfort in knowing we will all be together again someday!

Dear Mr. & Mrs. McGill,
My heartfelt sympathies are with you and your family during this untimely loss. I didn't know Beckie, other than through cherished photos from my niece Marley Pawlak and their friends at SMS. How fortunate Beckie was to have parents, family and friends who supported her passion to ski the grandest mountains with confidence and strength. How blessed you are to have raised a gifted child who had the ability to share her kindheartedness to everyone she encountered.
I pray you find comfort in God's love and in the powerful spirit Beckie left in the hearts of so many.
Very truly yours,
Amy Bartram

We understand as our son gained his wings in 2003. Our children are the light of our hearts and when we are left to grieve them we can feel so alone with the overwhelming pain of loss, please know you are not there are many who walk with you and we are near if you ever need. When the world returns to normal for everyone else and yours is forever changed. Be gentle with yourselves, it isn't a time to be strong you are griving your child. During this time hold each other close and we will hold you in our prayers.

Dave and Mimi:
What can one say? I am at a loss to express the sorrow and grief I am feeling for you at this time. I do know that Becky is with her Heavenly Father and we will see her again and live in eternity with her. What a miracle this hope and assurance is! I promise to keep you in my prayers and continually ask God to comfort you as you grieve the loss of your precious little girl. Her hand is now being held by HIS. Grace and Peace, Marcia Crocetto and daughters.

There will never be a child more cherished by her parents than Beckie. She died as she was taught to live... free, with abandon, gripping every moment with joy. God bless, Mimi and Dave. Know that the gift you gave her, to follow her dreams and enjoy what she was given, is the greatest gift a parent can give. She was truly blessed as much as she was a blessing.
Beautiful girl, be at peace.
