Rena M. Schoonmaker

SCHOONMAKER, Rena M. (Nadeau) Rena M. (Nadeau) Schoonmaker,62, of New Britain, entered peacefully into eternal rest, surrounded by her loving family, Thursday, (January 11, 2007) at Hartford Hospital. She was born in Ft. Kent, ME., daughter of Theresa (Vosine) Nadeau and the late Lucien Nadeau and was a resident of New Britain since 1956. She was the beloved wife and soul mate of Lester D. Schoonmaker. Rena was formerly employed by The Whole Donut, in Farmington and more recently at Donut Delight in Kensington. Besides her husband, Lester and her mother, Theresa she is survived by her loving family, two sons, Sean Lemanski and his wife, Amy of Plainville and Brian Schoonmaker and his wife, Sandra of Meriden; two daughters, Kristin Schoonmaker and her fiance, Tom Fetera of New Britain and Alayne Siegmund and her husband, Jeffrey of Nagatuck and five devoted grandchildren, Nicole, Ali, Jacqui, Kallysta and Dyllan. Also surviving are four brothers, Gerald Nadeau and his wife, Mary, Phillip Nadeau, Robert Nadeau and Ronald Nadeau; three sisters, Brenda Sokolowski and her husband, Casimir, Jackie Leigh and her husband, Mike and Elaine Lopez all of New Britain; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 13, at 5:30 p.m. at Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Buritt St., New Britain. Relatives and friends are invited to call at Burritt Hill on Saturday, January 13 from 3 p.m. until the time of service.
