Rich, Bednarz, Mr. B. He had many names, but he was one of a kind. As a new teacher, he advised me, was a friend, and the best role model I could ever imagine. He loved the kids, he was always smiling, but he always spoke his mind, regardless if you agreed with him. I enjoyed his wit and just being in his presence. It is great loss, my thoughts are with his loved ones. But, it was also a great life.

A tremendous loss for everyone whose lives were touched by Mr. Bednarz (aka Richard, Rich, Richie to those of us who didn't have him as a classroom teacher, but a teacher in life). I certainly wouldn't be where I am now if not for everything Richard did for me. My condolences to his family.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Richard. He was a well liked person in high school and in his later life. I had many conversations with Richard over the years and was happy to get to know him better. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family.
