Richard we had many good times together. We worked for the MePS study for a few years together till I transferred to the MCBS study. We compared a lot of notes during those years. Your knowledge of travel and places was astonding. You were steady and consistant. Recently I tried to make contact to find all your phones had been disconected which led me to the obituaries. Low and behold you left this earth without me knowing. Your life wasn't always as you wished but you maintained a good outlook and attitude. I'm saddened to hear of your passing . . . But pass we all must . . . And how we lived is what remain in the memories of those around us . . . Goodbye my friend!

In recent years, Richard was a field interviewer for Westat, a social research company. He was a valuable addition to the staff in New England and a joy to know. He will be missed by all of us on the project.

Dick was a co-worker and a friend. Unfortunately, I lost contact with him once he retired. He was really a special person and a great friend and co-worker. Dick I may not have contacted you over the years but I have thought of you and missed you. I hope you rest in peace and hope all your friends and family celebrate your life.
