My first husband, Ralph F. Porter always considered Rick one of his very good friends. I always enjoyed our visits with Rick and his family whenever we visited Connecticut. Today I was looking at Nancy Porter’s Legacy posting and read Rick’s post. I thought I would check on him and was sorry to hear he had also passed. I still have good memories and my prayers are with the Junokas family.

We are so sorry to hear that Ricky passed. He was a very funny and special person. He always willingly lent a hand when needed and good for a story. Steve & I speak of him often, always with a smile.
May his memory be a blessing.

So sorry to read about Rick’s passing. I spent a lot of time with him at Great Hill Lake in Portland during the early 1960’s. My parents ran the Lakeland restaurant and we lived in the house next door. Lots of good memories fishing together... he was a really good fisherman. We also camped out together in the small park area on the other side of the lake and I remember fishing all night long. Always meant to stop by but.... never put off the things you want to do.
My sympathies to his family.

Barbara, Jennifer, Nora,
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
It's been a long time since Mitchell Court..... Rick and I had some memorable times trout fishing at the Natchaug river, bass fishing at Williams lake and even sneaking onto the Edgewood golf course (now the TPC) after dark. I'll never forget him.............................Walt

Barb, Jennifer & Nora,
Please except my deepest sympathy. I have many wonderful memories of cutting Ricks hair in the backyard. Rick will be missed. That painful void that you know feel will change eventually...into a book of cherished memories. Wishing you all peace and serenity.
