Richard J. "Rich" Weiner

Richard "Rich" Jay Weiner, 86, of Windsor beloved husband of Miriam "Mimi" (Shapiro) Weiner, passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019. He was raised in North Adams and Williamstown, MA and lived in Windsor for 53 years where he worked his passion of woodworking first remodeling kitchens and then in retirement as a general handyman. He also loved spending time at Bart's with his friends and routing for the Boston Red Socks. He was proud to have been the lead carpenter rebuilding the Ark which holds Beth Ahm's Torah in its new home in Temple Beth Hillel, South Windsor. Besides his wife Mimi, he leaves a son Eric of Windsor; a daughter Jodi Holtzman (Eric) of Wayne, NJ; and three grandchildren Caitlin and David Holtzman and Emily Weiner. He was predeceased by his grandson Jacob Holtzman and a sister Phyllis Schwartz. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2019, 12 Noon in the Chapel of the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Avenue, Windsor. Burial will be in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery with military honors. Shiva will be held Thursday and Friday at this late home from 5-8 PM with Prayers at 7:00 PM Thursday.
