Robert BOULAY Obituary

BOULAY, Robert Roland Robert Roland Boulay, 76, of Corvallis passed away Tuesday (January 5, 2010) at his home from heart failure. He was born Sept. 3, 1933 in Berlin, NH the son of George and Rose Anna (Guimond) Boulay. Bob was raised and educated in Berlin. He left school in the 8th grade to help support his mother. Bob married Dorothy M. Vachon on Sept. 26, 1953. He enlisted into the US Army and served as a mechanic in Colorado Springs, CO. Bob and Dot settled in East Hartford, CT where they raised their family. Bob first started Turnpike Auto Body in Manchester, CT. He later expanded and built Bob's Auto Body which he ran and passed onto his son, James, who continues his legacy. Bob was well known and respected as an honest business man. After retirement he and Dot moved to Corvallis, MT, which he loved and enjoyed for five years. He felt he was in Heaven on Earth. Bob passed the way he wanted, with dignity and grace. We will hold him in our hearts forever. Bob was a member of the French-Canadian Club of Connecticut and a life time member of the Elks. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Neil (Red), Horace, Hilaire (Eli) and Paul; and his sister, Evelyn (Bebine). Bob is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his daughter, Susan (Carl) Erickson; his son, Robert C. Boulay; his daughter, Diana (Edward) Duval; his son, James (Kim) Boulay; grandchildren, Robert J., A.J., Mark, Sarah and Katherine; and great-grandson, Ian. JIm and family:

Kathie and I are very sorry to hear of uncle Bob's passing. I know his last couple years were very challenging for him and I know he is now at peace.

My memories of my uncle go back a long time. There were some really fun times when Bob, Horace, Paul and my Dad worked together. I remember being with them when I worked there in the summer. I was the only one making $10.00 a week with 4 bosses!

Please express our sympathies to your Mom.
