He served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He graduated from Northeastern University with a B.S. in Business Administration. Following graduation he entered the Executive Training Program for Sears, Roebuck and Company, starting the program in Bangor, ME. This began a life-long love for the State of Maine and its people. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their family. All of his life he loved the out-doors, hunting, fishing and boating. Please accept my sincere sympathy. I know you don't know me personally, but years ago I ordered bunkbeds from Sears and they were missing a part and your husband came personally to my house to deliver them. He was so gracious and warm and kind and told me if I had any other problems to just let him know personally. I thought I would share this with you at this difficult time for you, Alice and his family. Sincerely, Dian D. Friedman
