Robert Patridge Obituary

Robert R. Patridge, 74, of Meetinghouse Hill Rd., Franklin, died Saturday, (October 26, 2002) at St. Joseph Living Center in Windham after a long illness. He was born Aug. 30, 1928, in Norwich, the son of Charles and Hazel (Mourey) Patridge. He had served in the CT Army National Guard and had retired from the State of CT Dept. of Transportation in 1978. Mr. Patridge was a charter member of the Franklin Vol. Fire Dept. and a member of the Tri-County Fire Police Assoc. He was a 50 year member and past master of Franklin Grange #184 and was active in state and national Grange activities. Shirley Mae (Smith) Patridge, his wife, predeceased him in 1997. He is survived by his dear friend, Jean Payette of North Haven; two daughters and a son-in-law, Fern Patridge of Franklin and Roberta and E. Jeffrey Recor of Centreville, VA; several nieces, nephews; and many friends. His family will receive friends at the Potter Funeral Home, 456 Jackson St., (Rte. 195) Willimantic, on Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, 11 a.m., at the Franklin Congregational Church, Meetinghouse Hill Rd., Franklin. Burial will follow in the Plains Cemetery, Franklin. In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorial donations to the Dialysis Unit of Rockville General Hospital at Windham, 375 Tuckie Rd., N. Windham, CT 06256.
