Robert Peterson Obituary
Robert William (Bobby) Peterson, 23, son of William P. and Lisa C. Peterson of Guilford, passed away February 10, 2017, in Boston. He was born December 27, 1993, and was the brother of Lucy P. Peterson. Bobby was a senior in the College of Engineering at Northeastern University, Boston, at the time of his death, and was expected to graduate in May with a degree in computer engineering with a minor in English. Bobby completed grammar school at St. John School, Old Saybrook, and was a 2012 graduate of Xavier High School, Middletown. Besides his parents and sister, he is survived by many loving relatives including Mary, Bennett, Steven and Jeffrey Shuldman (NYC and W. Palm Beach, FL), godfather Nicholas Cirmo and his family Heather, Nicholas and Alexander (Alexandria, VA), godmother Sally O'Meara and her family Thomas, Katherine and Collin (Tacoma, WA and Dublin, IRL) and dear cousin Melanie Peterson, Boston, as well as two uncles, six aunts and 10 cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents Robert M. Peterson, Katherine P. Peterson, William F. Cirmo and Jane M. Cirmo. Bobby was loved and adored by many for his wit, enthusiasm, kindness and loyalty to his family and dear friends in Connecticut, New York and Boston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. George Church, 33 Whitfield St., Guilford on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 10am. Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery. Friends may call to the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St., Guilford from 4-7pm on Thursday, February 16, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bobby's memory to Xavier High School, 181 Randolph Rd., Middletown, CT, 06457. Arrangements in care of Guilford Funeral Home. I know it never gets easy and I hope you are doing well. Bobby was special to all of us and he is missed. I remember caring for him when he was a baby. We were all at a family reunion on Orcas Island and I took care of Bobby for a few hours so you guys could go do something. I'm glad I had that opportunity.

Lisa, Bill, and Lucy -
My heart sank when Jack told me that Bobby passed away last weekend. I am truly so so sorry. All the memories started coming back to me over these past few days - Before the boys got their licenses, commuting back and forth to Clinton with Jack to play Warhammer. A few times giving Bobby a ride either there or home afterwards. The all night Warhammer games the same group of friends would get together to play almost every weekend. And, gathering for senior prom pics at your beautiful home, before the limo arrived. Bobby was kind and caring, funny and smart. Quite chatty in the car I remember. Wonderful memories (I posted a few pics). May good memories and the support of family and friends, help you during this time. We will continue to keep you all in our prayers.
