Robert J. TURO

TURO, Robert J. Robert J. Turo, 82, of Wethersfield, the beloved husband of fifty six years to Ida (Alexander) Turo entered into the Lord's embrace Wednesday, (December 29, 2010). Born in Syracuse, N. Y. he was the son of the late Joseph & Irene (Brohl) Turo. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II and retired as a manager at ADT Security Systems. Bob also volunteered and was employed by the Connecticut State Library for the Blind and Handicapped. Sharing in their loss in addition to his wife, Ida, are their children; Robert and his wife Elisabeth Turo of Amston, and Heather Condron of Atlanta, Georgia as well as his brother, David Turo and his wife, Kathleen of Syracuse, N.Y., and sisters, Patricia Freund, and Connie Webb, both of Syracuse, N.Y. Bob was blessed with two grandchildren, Matthew and Julia Turo of Amston and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by a sister, Alma King, formerly of Syracuse, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, (January 3, 2011), at 10 a.m. in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Hwy., Wethersfield, CT. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Sunday, (January 2, 2011) at the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield.
