Dear Dave, Brian, Cindy, Bill & Susan,
Please forgive us for offering the same condolence to both your parents at the same time as it is difficult to speak of one and not the other. It was and will forever be Doris & Bob to us.
Over forty-four years ago we moved to Marlborough and met your parents. We started out as neighbors and immediately became friends. Your parents helped us in so many ways but the most important one was to value friendships. They were always, always there for us. They were our go to friends for advice, confidants with one another and comforters without being asked.
We can well imagine the sadness in your hearts for losing your wonderful parents. We are saddened as well. It breaks our hearts to look next door and realize that they are no longer there. We will always cherish our memories of Doris and Bob, as so many others do, and we will miss them terribly.
With love and sincerest sympathy,
Judy & Tom

Dear family and friends of Bob,
On behalf of the United States Submarine Veterans, we offer our sincere condolences at Bob´s passing. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are always saddened whenever a fellow "Bubblehead" departs on Eternal Patrol. He served with honor on the USS Cobbler (SS-344).
To our "Brother-of-the-Phin" we say, "Sailor, rest your oar. We have the watch. Fair Winds and Following Seas." Thank you for your service to our country.
To the family... "may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you." 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (ESV).
Jim Sandman, FTC(SS) Ret,
National Chaplain, USSVI.
