VIGUE, Ronald Edward Ronald Edward Vigue, 62, of Clubhouse Road, Lebanon, beloved husband of Linda, died suddenly Wednesday (May 5, 2004) in Lebanon. When I joined Gerber some started the rumor that I had a one handicap.
I was fortunate to play on Ronnie's team and we won the league Championship.Ron soon found out that my handicap was really like 15.
While the other team mates urged me to stay home every Thurs. night Ronnie encouraged me to play.Ronnie is the person most responsible for keeping the Gerber league going.I never heard him say anything derogatory about anyone. He made all of his co-workers better people.
He and I often had long conversations about our families.
If everyone could have seen the gleam in his eyes while he watched Ronnie and Sean tie off at last years Gerber Open they would have seen how much he loved his family.
Ron we all miss you.

Ronnie was a great friend for many years, we worked together from the 1960's until the early 1990's. Ron always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone. I played many a golf match with him and we always had a great time. I will surely miss the little guy, and I'm sure I speak for all the golfers that ever played in the Gerber golf league. My condolences to the family, and farewell my brother #145.

Ronny and I had worked together for 36 years, from the early GSI until ManiaBarco. We shared a love of reading and would swap the latest Tom Clancy and Clive Cussler adventure novels and commiserate about the lastest exploits of Jack Ryan and Dirk Pitt. When I'd go on vacation, Ronny would always have a book or two for me to read.
He will be greatly missed by all those with whom he came in contact and I extend my deepest sympathy to his family.

Ron's Gerber friends will always remember his positive attitude and willingness to help in any situation. He was a joy to work with. When Gerber first came up with the "employee of the month" award it seemed natural to all of us that Ronnie should be the first recipient of that award. He will be missed.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to the Vigue family for their loss. I had the pleasure of knowing Ron from work but more so from the Gerber Golf League for many years. If you want to learn about someone's character, play a little golf with them. Ron was a great guy that would do anything for others and he will be greatly missed by all of us here at Gerber. May he rest in peace.

I worked with Ron (and Ron Jr) at Gerber Scientific from 1976 to 1989.
Ron was always ready to help and often would stop everything to make a special silkscreen for that late got to get it out shipment. While I am not a golfer, I remeber his involment in the golf league. Ron was a good friend and kind to all. He will be missed. By the way, many Gerberites may have known me better as "Pops".
