I worked right next to Russell for several years in Lynx customer service. He was always upbeat and positive despite his condition. I remember contacting him after he moved North and hoped someday I could take a trip to see him...which unfortunately never happened. I still miss him and remember the picture he had on his desk where he was young and healthily...and with two hot girls in Vegas lol! Gone but never forgotten!

I can't help but remember all the fun times we all had when we were young-when my brother Rick and I would go out with Russ and Kim and Jimmy P,Scott L,and Michele O. Oh the goofiness that followed us! The Blues Bros, the wrestling video, the smooth contest,"cups",Big Gulps, walleyball, working for Gary G on floors,50's party with the switch-combs for their chest hair-some great harmless fun!My deepest sympathy to the family. Please stay strong June despite how difficult it must be for you to lose Russell. We can take comfort that he is safe in the memory of our loving Creator,Jehovah, and soon we can be reunited in His Paradise where lots more great fun is to be had!

Russ cracked me up. He had such a big personality, it set evenyone at ease. The way he kept a positive attitude despite all the suffering he went through was such a good example to us all. He was such a good friend too, he always did the most he could for everyone around him. He will be remembered!

It was with joy that I had the opportunity to work with and get to know Russ. It is with sadness I hear of his passing. He was a one in a million and some of my fondest and funniest memories I have working at LYNX was because of Russ. He will continue to be thought of often and missed even more. Blessings to his family, thanks for all you did to keep him going.

Russ was a giant of a man. Close to death many times over the past few years, but always faced it with faith and confidence. He earned a nickname from me, "Lion-heart." He was a true warrior for Jehovah. Like the biblical Job, he never lost his hope.

I am so sorry to hear of Russell's passing. What a wonderful guy, hardly ever down even in his worst times. I had the privilege of being Russell's Manager at LYNX. I can honestly say he was a hard worker, carried his weight and always kept us laughing. When he couldn't come in to work anymore, we took work to him. He stayed the course and finished his race with dignity. Our visits to St. Cloud were as joyful to us as to Russell. He will be remembered with a smile. Blessings to his family. I knew his Mom best and to her, "you certainly were a model Mother".

The news of Russ's passing has deeply saddened me. I am one of the worst people in the world for keeping up with friends and I have been trying to connect again with Russ by looking for him in Kissimmee the last 4 to 5 years never realizing he was up here. I hired Russ for his job with the Hartford back in the 80's and was sad to see him go. We even duct tapped him to his chair the last day he worked with us. Russ and I had a lot of fun together. We went to WWF events whenever Hulk Hogan was in town as he was a favorite of Russ and my oldest daughter. I helped Russ put a stereo in his white Vette even though I advised him against it, but he loved that car. Russ was a great guy and could see the good in every situation and everybody. I will miss him.
