Your father was my advisor in graduate school, and co-author with me , your mom and Dr. Tanaka of a book and several monographs. He was a funny, intelligent, and somewhat eccentric professor, but always kind and understanding. He was the perfect gentleman and scholar, and I will always remember him fondly. My prayers are with all of you.
