Samantha Seger Obituary
Samantha Jean Seger, 26, of Canton, died Sunday, November 15, 2015. She was born January 14, 1989 in Torrington, beloved daughter of Daniel J. Seger of Canton and Pamela (Adams) Seger of Simsbury. Samantha was a graduate of Canton High School, Class of 2007. She had always aspired to work in the Emergency Medical Response (EMT) field because she had such a caring and nurturing soul. She enjoyed fishing, hiking, geology, music and off-roading, and most of all, spending time with her children. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her son, Hunter Tarantello, his Guardian Amanda Tarantello, and his father Anthony Tarantello of Torrington; her daughter, Natalya Tardif and father Sylvain Tardif of Torrington; her sisters, Dorie and Sheri Seger of Canton; her step-mother, Laurie Seger of Canton; her grandparents, Norman and Doris Adams of North Canton, Margaret and William Dopirak of South Windsor and Joe Seger of Tucson, AZ and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton, TODAY, Wednesday November 18th, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 19th, 11:00 AM at the funeral home with burial to follow in Village Cemetery in Collinsville. Memorial donations may be made to the Samantha Seger Children's Memorial College Fund during calling hours or at any Webster Bank. For Samantha, this morning, there was a sunrise of vivid orange and pink, up here on the North Shore of Massachusetts. We are thinking of her and of all of her loving family who are laying her to rest today, and who will carry their love on. Songs that were playing today in the coffee shop were classic Southern rock ballads by Allman Brothers and Lynrd Skynrd, which seemed to be just for Sam too. We'll keep remembering her.
