Sandro DiBacco

Sandro DiBacco, 64, of Cromwell, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 24, 2023. Sandro was born in Raino, Italy and was son to the late Mario and Maria (DiGiannantonio) DiBacco. Sandro worked as an employee at Hartford Hospital for over 20 years. He was also a devoted driving school instructor for many years, and was always seen driving around town. He was known for his caring personality and sense of humor. He always did it his way! He enjoyed spending time at the Pratolana Society, playing cards and drinking espresso with his fellow members. Sandro's passion was cheering for his favorite soccer team, FORZA AZZURRI! He will be remembered for his assertive opinions, smart wit, but also willing to give the shirt off his back for those he cared about.

Sandro is survived and will be dearly missed by his brother, Luciano DiBacco and his wife, Diana of Wethersfield and his precious nieces Dina, Stefanie, Melissa, and Cristina; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins who he grew up with.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday (March 2) from 4 – 7 p.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield. Funeral services will begin Friday (March 3), at 9:30 a.m. at the D'Esopo Chapel, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sandro's memory may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
