Sebastian J. "Sebby" Bianca

Sebastian Bianca, 93, of Plantsville, CT, son of the late Joseph and Nelly (Cifalu) Bianca peacefully departed this world on Saturday (February 25), surrounded by his loving family. Sebastian

"Sebby" was an avid bowler and enjoyed golfing with his many friends. Another favorite pastime was playing Bingo and the slots at the casinos. He was a kind hearted soul who loved people and never missed an opportunity to tell a funny story or joke, as he loved to make them laugh. The love he showed others was returned by all who knew him. Sebby also enjoyed spending time with, playing cards with and cooking for his family and friends. He was especially known for his delicious chicken cutlets, meatballs and pasta sauce. He was also quite the dancer and was among the first on the floor to cut a rug. He will be sorely missed. Sebby served honorably in the United States Army as a military policeman during the Korean War. Sebby was employed as a signal maintenance mechanic with the Traffic Division of the New Britain Police Department. He later started his own line painting business and was successful for many years until his retirement. He loved socializing with his many friends so much that he took up working a part-time job at the Aqua Turf to keep himself active.

Sebby was predeceased by his loving wife, Fannie (Baldino) Bianca and he is survived by his children, Joe Bianca of The Villages, FL, JoAnn Bianca of Vernon, CT, Michael Bianca and his wife Lina of Palm Harbor, FL; his grandchildren, Eric Bianca, Rachel Carlson (Nathan) of Tampa, FL and Ryan Bianca (Jenna) of Palm Harbor, FL; his sister Josie Marchinski of Newington, CT, and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Sebby's Life will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Avenue, New Britain, CT Committal service with full military honors and final resting place will be in St. Mary Cemetery, 1309 Stanley Street, New Britain, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, Saturday from 9 am to 11 am.
