DiMARCO, Sebastian "Sabby" Sebastian "Sabby" DiMarco 87, of Manchester, formerly of East Hartford, beloved husband of 25 years to Lena (Maltempo) DiMarco passed away unexpectedly Thursday, (September 21, 2006) at Backus Hospital in Norwich. He was born January 24, 1919 in Hartford, son of the late Rosario and Giuseppa (DiMaggio) DiMarco and had lived in East Hartford for many years until moving to Manchester in 1981. Sabby was employed for over 30 years with the former Allen Manufacturing Company of Hartford until retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Hartford Bible Class, the Manchester Senior Citizens, was an avid pool player and New York Yankee Fan. Besides his wife he leaves a stepson, Gregory Merovonich and his wife Shirley of Tolland; a stepdaughter Denise McPeck of Coventry; his granddaughter Kellie McPeck of Coventry, who he adored; a brother Francis DiMarco of Manchester; five sisters, Mrs. Benny Boccaccio and Angeline Tuzza both of Hartford, Israele Cardone and Mary Zavarella both of Wethersfield, and Rose Hamilton of East Hartford, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by three sisters, two brothers and his first wife Josephine. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 26, at 10 a.m. at Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main St., Manchester. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Calling hours will be Monday, September 25, 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Manchester Senior Citizens Center, 549 Middle Turnpike East, Manchester, CT 06042, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
