Stanislaw Piorkowski, 59, of New Britain passed away on Thursday (September 13, 2012) at his home. He was the beloved husband of Halina (Kieszek) Piorkowski. He was born in Poland, son of the late Jozef and Wladyslawa (Koziatek) Piorkowska; he was a New Britain resident for many years. He was employed by Continental Machine Tool, Inc. of New Britain for the past 13 years. He is survived by his wife Halina; his daughter Edyta Christenson and her husband Ron of Wilbraham, MA; his son Slawomir Piorkowski of Poland; his grandchildren Wiktoria, Rafal, Olivia and Ely; his brother Czeslaw Piorkowski and his wife Danuta of Poland; his sisters Wladyslawa Szydlik and her husband Ryszard and Halina Gut and her husband Jan of Poland. Stanislaw is also survived by his sisters-in-law Alexsandra Kozlowski and her husband Walter and family of Plainville and Wladyslawa Golon of Poland. He will be missed by his many friends at Continental Machine.
His funeral service will begin on Monday, September 17, at 8:30 a.m. at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. He will be laid to rest in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Springfield, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday, from 3-6 p.m. at Burritt Hill.
