Steven T. Portuese

Steven T. Portuese, 62, of Bensalem, PA passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at the Abington Hospital in Abington, PA. Steve was born May 10, 1956, in Hartford, CT the son of Carol (Taylor) Portuese of Windsor Locks and the late Joseph V. Portuese. Steven attended local schools and was a graduate of Windsor Locks High School. He proudly served in the United States Navy aboard the USS McCandless & USS Johnston. Steve was employed with Asplundh Street Lighting in the Electrical Division as an electrician for several years. Steve cherished time spent with his family, especially his son, daughter, and granddaughter. In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his son, Joseph Portuese and his wife, Shawna, of Levittown, PA; his daughter, Alicia Portuese of Bensalem, PA; a brother, David Portuese of Arizona; four sisters, Cynthia Neilson of TN, Nancy Ridel of Enfield, Diane Portuese and Walter Gorkowski of Windsor Locks, and Cari Mazza and her husband, Scott, of Somers, CT; his beloved granddaughter, Avery Portuese and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Monday, November 19, 2018, from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral service for Steven will be celebrated at 10 am on Tuesday November 20th at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 383 Hazard Ave., and (Rte 190) Enfield. Please meet at the church. Burial with military honors will follow in Grove Cemetery in Windsor Locks. Memorial contributions in memory of Steven may be made to the American Heart Association.
