Theodore Mrozowski Obituary



Ted Mrozowski died January 26 in Maryland after a brief hospitalization at age 90. Cause of death was complications due to Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a Parkinson's-like disease. His wife, Genevieve Bartoszewicz Mrozowski, died April 16, 2013. Mr. Mrozowski received a Bronze Star in WWII. After the war he played semi-pro as a left-handed pitcher for the Cleveland Indians. Mr. Mrozowski worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. He pitched for the Hartford Twilight League for 9 years, and won many P&W golf awards. He was inducted into the Middletown, CT Sports Hall of Fame in 2002. Survivors include 2 daughters, Marianne Starr of Bethesda, MD, and Susan Mrozowski of Owings Mills, MD; a son, Eugene Mrozowski of Brookline, MA; and 2 granddaughters.

Dear Marianne, Susan, and Eugene, my very deepest sympathy. I was saddened to read your Dad's obituary in the Middletown Press. You may recall that your parents were friends of my Mom and Dad, Helen and Al Pusz. In fact, your Dad and mine played sports together.
