September 9, 1959-April 25, 2021 Theresa M. Hart (Wassik) passed away on April 25, 2021 at the age of 61. She left behind her two beloved children, Sam and Grace of San Antonio, Texas. Terry graduated from Farmington High School in 1977 and from Salve Regina University in Newport, RI. Following in her mother and older sister's footsteps, she became a Registered Nurse, working at numerous hospitals and hospices throughout Connecticut, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, California, and Texas. She was loved by her family and many friends that she met in school and throughout her career as a nurse. Her selfless love for others was a testament to the friendships she made throughout her life's journey. Her greatest joy and proudest moments came when her children were born and throughout their lives. Terry thrived as a mother to Sam and Grace. Terry is survived by her eight siblings, Ann Martin (Richard), New Lothrop, MI, Michael Wassik (Angelica) of New Braunfels, TX, Patricia Wassik (Samuel) of Denver, CO, James Wassik of Unionville, CT, Robert Wassik (Leanne) of Unionville, CT, William Wassik (Kimberly) of Terryville, CT, Thomas Wassik (Jacquelyn) of Torrington, CT and Stefanie Gernhard (Gregory) of The Woodlands, TX. In addition, she leaves behind many, many nieces/nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Edward and Marie Wassik of Unionville, CT and by her nephew Jonathan Wassik of Lafayette, LA. Services will be held at her family home in Unionville, CT on Saturday, July 17, 2021. Her family is suggesting a donation in her name to National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI.org) or American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP.org).
