I wish to extend my condolences to Tom's family. I have known him since helping him deliver the New Britain Herald newspaper when we both were in St. Maurice Jr. High. Tom was the first one of our class to buy a house, which he did right out of college. I remember swimming with Tom in the Shuttle Meadow Reservoir to put up a raft with an American flag on it in the middle of the res.Tom will be deeply missed by all of his friends. Deborah, though I wasn't a close friend of Tom's, as the person who spearheaded our Aquinas 40th reunion in 2009, I'm happy you both were able to attend and share together with us what turned out to be a memorable time for all. Please know that you and your family will be in all of Tom's classmates' thoughts and prayers during this difficult time and always. Debbie Allegretto

My mother Lorraine McCormick and Tom's father, Joe were first cousins on her father's side. Tom and I were classmates and friends at Aquinas. During High School Tom volunteered at the VA hospital in Rocky Hill, and I often marveled at his generosity to do so. On the weekend of the senior prom we blew out of town in my '57 V8 Studebaker and climbed Mt. Washington with Brian Saluk and Mark Nejfelt. A few girls were annoyed by this. God Speed on your next adventure, Tom. your cousin, Bob Quinn

Very sorry to hear about Tom. He and I ran through some snow together at Willow Brook Park for track practice. He was a very intense runner and was much faster than me. We knew he was headed for a career in chemistry before senior year, and he obviously achieved his goal. My condolences to his family and friends. Mike Helechu, Aquinas '69.
