Tim was a really great guy and a memorable character. I was fortunate enough to spend many happy times on Maui's beaches with Tim , where we were both surfing and sailing instructors. Tim actually taught me how to sail. I wrote an essay about it when I was in graduate school, which I'm happy to share with anyone, should they ever reach out and want to read it ([email protected]). I guess it was my own way of remembering a remarkable human being. He will always be missed!

Tim, We're all missing you and thinking about you all of the time. The Great Joy that you brought to all of us helps sustain us and we're all trying to honor you by reflecting your Joy of Life! I only recently found out about his accident through a friend. I remember Tim and his days at SC while in the PE program here and he was such an outgoing and enthusiastic person. Although he died young, I hope he left this world doing something he loved. We shall meet again my friend. I miss you.

Tim was a great friend to me and always put a great big smile on my face. I am a better person for having Tim in my life and I will always remember him as an incredible person who lived everyday to the max!! I love you Tim and will miss you everyday.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Lorraine and her family. When I worked with Lorraine at Hall, I remember well how much she loved talking about Tim's adventures. It sounds like he knew how to live life to the fullest.

As a past student of Lorraine's I clearly recall the times we chatted about Tim, his ventures to college and his love for sports and the outdoors. I am deeply saddened to learn of Tims passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time.

I remember Tim as always being so happy and fun-loving. My sisters and I would spend our summers at the beach in CT and always looked forward to seeing Tim and Lorraine. We always had so much fun with him. He was a wonderful guy with an amazing spirit. I will never forget the great times we all shared during those summers.

Tim was such a sweet guy and had so much personality. During my summer stays in CT, he and his mother would always come visit and Tim and I would venture off to go cause terror somewhere along the beach. I always had so much fun when we were together. He is a wonderful person and had such a great spirit about him. And while he left us entirely too early, he will be remembered dearly and he will always hold a special place in my heart.

Tim was an absolute angel, and though he left us far too early, I truly admire the way he lived his life. He always surrounded himself with people he loved and lived out his dreams. The twinkle in his eye, his huge smile, and his even bigger heart have touched the lives of so many people, and he will never be forgotten. I am so sorry. We'll all miss you Tim!

Tim was taken from this world far too early. We can only be comforted in the fact that he lived each day of his life to the fullest. His heart was full of love, tenderness, and compassion, and his face was never without a smile. I will always remember our summers spent sailing on Lake George. You will be dearly missed brother.

I had the great privilege of coaching Tim in lacrosse at Simsbury High School. He played like he lived his life, with great enthusiasm, optimism and commitment - in sports terms he had "alot of heart." It is devastating to loose him so young but we are all better for having him in our lives for however brief. I am consoled by the fact that he died doing something he loved and I hope his family can find solace in that also. Rest in peace Tim.

My son, Kianan Lynch, works with Tim's mother and as a mother of a young man I just want to express my deepest sympathy to Tim's mother,family and friends. May the many wonderful memories that you have of Tim and with Tim bring you comfort and ease your hearts and minds as you all move forward in the healing process. He sounds like a young man who lived his life to the fullest and with passion - so the time, which is far too short,was one of fullfilment for him and I am sure brought much happiness to Tim as well as all who was part of his life. I would like to express my deepest sympathy for the recent loss of Tim. I was blessed to know him throughout middle school and high school. I got to know Tim well while cheering him on during football season! He never ceased to make me, or anyone else smile. Tim was my roommate and friend in Hawaii in the Spring, Summer and Fall of 2004. He was fun-loving, funny, and a perpetual optimist whose spirit was infectuous. I'll miss you Tim.

Only a few weeks ago I happened to see a group photo of Tim; Matthew, his cousin; Steve, his uncle; and Jerry, his grandfather. It was such a warm, multigenerational portrait. I asked Matt, “Who’s the young one?” It was Tim.
Although I never met him, I can sense the loss felt by others in the picture; as well as his mother Lorraine and other close ones.
The outpouring on these pages is compelling. It is a genuine tribute.

I will remeber Tim not only as one of my best friends, but as the guy who never let anything get him down. He could walk into any situation with a smile, and with that we shared some incredible memories.

Tim was one of the few that I met my very first day at Springfield College when I transferred. I thought he was such a wise guy, but soon found out that everyone always wanted to be around him. Tim was always full of laughs and smiles when we'd pass by in the halls or on the street going to class. I send out my deepest and most sincere thoughts and prayers to all of Tim's family, friends and those affected by his loss.
I'm so sorry Tim...hope things are still going well for you in your new place. We'll connect up again one day.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Tim my freshman year at Springfield College, and I have recently been talking with him about my own plans to move to Hawaii. I have always admired his determination to follow his dreams, and not let anything stand in his way. Tim lived his life doing what made him truely happy. He had a special way of making people smile. I saw Tim a few weeks ago, and I swear that everytime I saw him he was smiling and in the best of spirits. He absolutely loved Hawaii and loved being in the water. Very few people pass away doing something they truly love. They have a saying in Hawaii, "Mohala i ka wai ka maka o ka pua," which means 'unfolded by the water are the faces of flowers.' He will be missed both in the islands.

I am so sorry to hear about this tragedy... I remember Tim well from when both our families lived on the same street in Simsbury... he always seemed like such an energetic and nice kid. We relied on him to sell us wreaths every year for Christmas.
It sounds like he had been living such a very full life, it is so sad that it was cut short.
