Dear Leo, Gloria,and family,

The loss of Vinny is a tough one to take, and my heart was broken with the news. I will miss Vinny.

I met Vinny many years ago, because of our mutal and sincere interest in Peter Jeffers.Over the years I found that having Vinny in my life was the best of blessings.I respected Vinny's love for God and compassion for others, and how he worked hard in helping so many in so many ways.

I told Vinny how I admired him in all aspects of his life, especially as a good and faithful patriach. I said to him, "you should write a book." Vinny said, "I did," and he gave me a copy of the book he wrote for his family.I often pick up Vinny's book and joyfully take a peek into the happy memories of the family he loved so much.

Vinny was a very special human being, and with Gloria, created a very special family. For the loss of your dear Vinny, my sympathy is deep for the Diana family.

With sincere condolences,
Ferne Pasternak

I first met Vincent Diana in 1978 when I went to work for Mike Lynch at the Toyota Store.I sensed right away what a great guy he was. His relationship with Mike was not just lawyer-client,it was more like they were best friends. This held true over the many years Mike Senior was still with us.I also had the pleasure of meeting his equally as nice wife Gloria. They together raised the nicest most caring and respectful group of children, now grown ups that I have ever met.Whatever formula they had they should have bottled it and passed it out to the rest of the world. I'm sure there would be a few less problems out there. So hats off to Vinny whom I have known for a very long time.Even though I did not get to see you often as many others have. Every ocassion was a pleasure. And I know when I think of you or your name is mentioned,it will always bring a smile to my face.
Thoughts and prayers to you and your wonderful family from me and mine.

Vinnie Diana was one of the people who make service to the community and to the bar a calling and make us all proud to be among their peers. So many benefited from his generosity over the years and will continue to benefit from all that he did and from the example he set. I last saw Vinnie when he sat in for Leo as my partner at special masters in Rockville last year. His dismay over the behavior of the litigants was refreshingly honest, especially coming from one who had been a lawyer as long as he. At least that day, he remained unjaded. I will miss him.

I will miss his generosity, his stories and he way of connecting to family. I was alwasy touched with his emotional connection to family. When I paid a visit to saracena to see my cousins, I had the opportunity to meet the mayor of our hometown in Italy. When the mayor heard my last name was Diana,he asked me if I was related to Vincent Diana. The mayor then recounted a story of a speech Vincent gave in saracena and how touched the mayor was by Vincent's emotional connection to his family. That really demonstrates Vincent's reach. People even remember him from his visit to Italy.
Thank you Vincent for always being kind, connective and ...just you. Sei speciale...Mi mancherai.
