Violet Frascarelli Obituary

Violet T. (Fasolo) Frascarelli, 90, passed away on Saturday April 18, 2020 at Hartford Hospital. She was born on June 5, 1929 in Farmington, daughter of the late Anthony Fasolo and Immaculata (Capodiferro) Fasolo. Violet graduated from Farmington High School in 1947, lived in the town most of her life, and was a longtime member of St. Patrick's Church in Farmington. Violet loved antiques, the stock market, going on trips to Vermont with Paige, Bill, and Austyn, and she always made the best out of any situation. Violet was a strong, authentic woman who would liven up a room with her personality, spunk, and sense of style. She touched many people's lives by being her genuine self. She moved to Glastonbury in 2019 and spent the last 8 months of her life surrounded by love, care, and joy. Violet is predeceased by her brother George Fasolo and sister "Tootsie". She is survived by her husband Albert Frascarelli, and two daughters: Paige Dolce, her husband Bill, and their daughter Austyn (who Violet had a special bond with) of Glastonbury; and Kristen Fliss and her two children Dana and Tanner Fliss of Green Bay, WI. We'd like to thank the Atria employees for giving Violet love and attention, and thank you to the Hartford Hospital doctors, nurses, and hospice team for giving her care and comfort. The funeral service will be private, but in the future there will be a Celebration of Life memorial for Violet. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Petit Family Foundation, 32 Whiting St., Plainville, CT 06062, or visit https://www.petitfamilyfoundation.org/. To the Frascarelli family,

It is with a heavy heart that I learned of Aunt Violet's passing today. You see she was my Godmother. As you may know she was very close to my mother Jenny Davia Moffatt.
Back in the mid to late 1980's, before I left CT, I would run into Aunt Violet on Garden every now and then and I remember what a warm and what a loving person she was.

I wish you peace during this difficult time.

As a childhood friend of Paige, I have collected so many fond memories of Vi. She was a fun lady and a fantastic story teller. Vi could relay a seemingly ordinary story whether an interaction with a neighbor, her take on someone preparing fish in an iron skillet, or a particular political candidate's pants suit in a way that would have everyone in the room in absolute stitches.
Vi had an eye for decorating; she loved to welcome guests into her beautiful home and share the details of newly acquired pieces. She would generously share her expertise; whether a stock tip, decorating tip, or the phone number of a local grandfather clock expert.
The most striking thing I observed over the years was Vi's love for her family and especially close connection with Paige and Austyn. They traveled together and visited often in better times, and spoke multiple times a day in recent times. I want to extend my love and condolences to Vi's family. May your lifetime of memories of Vi comfort you.

Violet was my mother and I've enjoyed reading all the messages I've received on how memorable their interactions were with her. She definitely had a way of leaving her impact on people; I'll cherish those memories. Although she suffered tremendously in her later years, she was surrounded by a great deal of support, love and companionship, especially from my dad, Albert (husband and caretaker of over 60 years); my sister, Paige's, family; Tommy Harrigan (her longtime stock broker and confidant),and Dolores Harrington (very close, childhood friend). We are very grateful Violet had such supportive and caring people in her life and will always remember her vivacious personality, exuberance, honesty, humor and loyalty. She will be missed by many.

I will always remember Aunt Violet as a woman that was full of spunk! A real firecracker! She always had a smile on her face and I always enjoyed my conversations with her at any Frascarelli family event. God bless her and her family.

Violet was my grandma and she was the best! There is nothing I'd change about her in any way. She taught me to be strong, tough, determined, and always be confident in myself. She was also very funny, thoughtful, and caring. She brought a kind of joy and excitement that is so rare... We love you Grandma, I will spend my ntire life honoring you and telling everyone about you and your legacy. We love you :-)
