Kirsten, Willy, Matthew and Zachary, Today I received the tragic news of Billy's passing. I am so sorry to hear that you and your family have endured such pain. I will always remember Billy for his incredible sense of humor, he had such a knack for making me laugh at the silliest things. He was such a wonderful father and husband. Kirsten, he loved you so much and you could see that in his eyes each time you were together.

To the Batayte family,

I am saddened by the loss of my friend Billy. Billy lived up the street from me and we went to St Brigid's and Northwest together. I fondly remember the times we spent walking to and from school. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Please be comforted by your memories and the knowledge that he will always be there to support you.

This is such a sad event. My heart breaks for you, for your children. But Bill leaves his children one of the richest inheritances possible: the memory of a man who knew how to be a great father, a good friend, someone loved, respected and admired. His big, friendly presence will be missed. But his gifts will stay with us always.

Dear Helen:

I'm so shocked and saddened to hear the awful news of Billy's passing, but my thoughts were of you and the tremendous grief you must be feeling. God has given you such a heavy burden to carry in your life, but I'm sure He has been with you all through these years. Your heart must truly be aching at the loss of your son. But you have wonderful memories of him that hopefully will help you now. He lives in memories and in the love you both shared which will reach beyond everthing, even beyond the grave.

Jesus is by your side now, as He always has but in a different way. He will help you through this heart break by standing with you with His arm around you to help hold you up and give you the strength you need at this time. One of Jesus promises is that He will be with us at our time of need and will comfort you in your sadness and sorrow.

Please accept my deepest sympathy and may God in His infinite wisdom, give you a special place in His heart for what you have had to bear on this earth. Finally, Billy is "at home" with the Lord and is healthy and happy.

You and Billy will be in our prayers.
