William Horan Obituary
William P. Horan Jr, of East Hartford, passed away October 9th, 2017, at home surrounded by his family. Born Sept. 29, 1965 in Hartford Connecticut, he was the son of Corinne Medeiros Horan and the late William Horan Sr. William (Bill) is survived by his loving wife Laurel Ann Horan and their children Gillian and William III. Bill lived his entire life in East Hartford, where he was an active member of theTown Council for 18 years and served as the current Vice Chairman. He was also on the board for the Metropolitan District (MDC) for many years. His true passion was coaching softball and he enjoyed his time coaching for the East Hartford Little League, East Catholic HS, East Hartford HS, and various travel softball teams. After working over 20 years in Hartford as part of the law firm of Webber Jacobs Murphy and Horan, Bill opened up his own law firm, Horan Law Offices in his hometown of East Hartford. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions to the East Hartford Little League in his name would be appreciated. In accordance with his wishes, William will be cremated and a private mass will be held for family. A joyful celebration of his life will follow soon after for family and friends to attend and share stories.

A Facebook message popped-up to wish Bill a Happy Birthday. When I went to his Facebook page, I was stunned to see he had passed away in 2017. I knew Bill from our days clerking in the courts. We had some limited contact since then. I'm retired in VT and feel so badly I didn't send my condolences previously. He was such a wonderful person.

I had Bill in class and on the East Catholic football team. I am sorry to hear about his passing. He always had a great laugh and was wonderful to have in history class. We still talk about his WWI oral report. He will be missed. Charlie Ryan

Dear Laurie, Margaret and I were so deeply saddened hear of Bill's passing. To say he was a terrific guy is certainly an understatement! Bill has always held a special place in our hearts. My condolences to the family. I knew Bill through a case we had together and would always stop and talk to him after that, because he was such a personable guy. He always talked about his kids. Very sorry to hear this.

Bill was simply a great guy. He loved his family, his friends, and of course, East Hartford. He was sweet and funny with just the right amount of mischief and always willing to help however he could. Such a tremendous loss for his family and everyone who knew him. Rest in peace, Billy.
