VITALE, William N. William N. Vitale, 76, of Wethersfield, husband of Rose (Tartaglia) Vitale, died Friday, (August 4, 2006) at Hartford Hospital. He was the son of Dominic and Madeline (Potanzo) Vitale and lived in Wethersfield for 41 years. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. Besides his wife of 53 years he leaves a son and his wife, William and Patricia Vitale of West Palm Beach, FL; two daughters, Diane Vitale of Rocky Hill, and Maria and her husband, Eric Johnson of Wethersfield; a brother and his wife, Charles and Ida Vitale of Glastonbury; four grandchildren, Rebecca, Samantha, Lauren and Kristen. The funeral will be Wednesday, August 9, 9:15 a.m. from the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm Street, Rocky Hill followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill with Military Honors. Calling hours are Tuesday, August 8, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Heart Association.
