Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home Chapel for Joey S. "Joey" Aaron, 42, of Hattiesburg, MS with the VFW Post 3036 performing military rites.
He died Saturday, July 9, 2016 at his residence.
Interment will be in Seal Cemetery.
Joey was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in Korea, Japan, Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX and Fort Gordon in Georgia. He graduated from Hattiesburg High School in 1992 where he played football and baseball.
Joey was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. Dement Aaron and Barbara Johnson Aaron.
He is survived by his maternal grandmother, Virginia "Jennie" Aaron of Hattiesburg; two daughters, Haley and Mia Aaron of Augusta, GA; one sister, Jennifer A. Washington of Purvis.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM Friday at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home.

I served in the Army with Joey and was searching to reconnect with him and stumbled upon his obituary. He was a good soldier and a very good friend. He would make his chili and we would hang out and watch football together. RIP Joey!

We will always remember Joey's joy filled smile and beautiful attitude when he was playing baseball with our son in the Dixie League and high school team. He was always a positive influence for our son. We are so sorry for your loss and his all too soon parting. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
