He was also a servant to his fellow man, serving as a professional firefighter for 12 years in Hattiesburg, MS; prior to re-entering the Air Force in Meridian, MS. Bill was also a faithful follower of Christ, having attended church as long as his health permitted.

Bill is survived by his wife of over 52 years, Jan Larson; children Don Larson (Faye) and Russ Larson (Holly). Grandchildren Christina Larson, Elizabeth Larson, and Matthew Larson. Siblings Patricia Larson, Mary Pearce (Johnny), Jackie Huber, and Mark McDonald (Kitty) as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
