Daniel Deffenbaugh Obituary

A celebration of Daniel's life will take place at Fitzhenry's Funeral Home on Sept. 20, 2024, from 1-3 pm in Carson City, Nevada followed by reception at Daniel's home. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the life of remarkable man who touched so many hearts.
Daniel F. Deffenbaugh, born on Feb. 28, 1950, lived a life of devotion, love, and service. He passed away peacefully at home on July 21, 2024, at the age of 74, surrounded by his cherished family.
As an Army veteran, Daniel served his country with honor and distinction, embodying resilience and strength throughout his life. These qualities defined him and inspired those around him. After 34 years of owning Arizona Bug Busters, Daniel retired on May 19, 2018.
Seeking a cooler climate, he moved to Dayton, Nevada. While residing in Dayton, Daniel, who loved engaging with people, began working at Peterson Products for two years. Unfortunately, he had to leave this role due to a cancer diagnosis. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy Deffenbaugh, and his four loving daughters: Kerri (Darlene, Mason, and Mekeila), Kelli (Tim and Erin), Kristi (Dave, Taylor, Abigail, and Ethan), and Kasie (Josh, Christopher, Gracie, and Cayden).
His legacy also lives on through his great-grandchildren, Ellie and Kirby, who brought immense joy to his later years. Daniel was a man of many talents, finding great pleasure in woodworking, fishing, hunting, and camping. His love for the outdoors and his skillful hands were evident in everything he did. Above all, he valued the time spent with his family, creating countless lasting memories. Daniel will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
His enduring legacy of love, strength, and dedication will continue to inspire everyone fortunate enough to have been part of his life.
