July 9, 1928 – January 4, 2018

Helga Morgan, 89, lost her battle with Alzheimer's and passed away peacefully in Lake Havasu City. She was born July 9, 1928, in Nuremberg Germany. The daughter of Fritz and Martha Voit.
As a teenager, she survived the bombings of British and American troops during World War II by seeking shelter with her family in the cellar of their home which is still standing to this day.
She met Ed Morgan Sr. in 1950 while he was serving in the U.S. Army. They fell in love in Germany and later married in 1952 when he brought Helga to America. They had their first child, Ed Morgan Jr in 1961 and adopted their infant daughter Heidi Morgan in 1965.
In 1970, the family moved to Danville, California where Ed Morgan Sr. built their dream home where she enjoyed raising many pets, and farm animals.

Helga enjoyed many things in life, especially raising her two children. Helga was talented at oil painting and did many beautiful pictures. Helga divorced in 1982 and traveled extensively with her friends going on cruises and back to Germany to see family and friends. Helga remarried in 1999 and moved to Ramona California, and then to Lake Havasu City in 2007. Helga was a very loving and caring person and always had a hug and an "I love you" to us kids while we were growing up. She is sorely missed.
Helga was preceded in death by her parents, Fritz and Martha Voit, her sister Else and her brother Harald Voit.

She is survived by her loving son Ed Morgan, (Dana) daughter Heidi Morgan and brother Horst Voit (Annalie). grandchildren, James Morgan, Melissa Morgan, Donnie Henriques and two great-grandchildren Lillian and Declan.
Helga's last 6 months were spent in the loving care of her son and wife, God's Friendly Helpers Adult Home and Hospice of Havasu.
A celebration of life was held in January with family and friends.
