Wayne Irvin Childers, age 54, of Lotts Creek, passed away on June 22 at his residence. He was the son of the late Troy Bill Childers and the late Carolyn Sue Collins Carpenter. He is also preceded in death by one brother: Bobby Childers.
He is survived by two daughters: April Keaton (Tyler) and LeCena Childers (Stephen) both of Ohio; four sons: Wayne Childers Jr. (Amanda), Paul Childers, Bobby Comer (Stephanie) and Stephen Childers (Jackie) all of Ohio; three brothers: Billy Childers (Charlene) of FL; Ron Childers (Carmen) of North Carolina and Ernie Childers (Penny) of Ohio; caregiver: Ruthie Grigsby; nine grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Arrangements handled by Maggard Mtn. View Chapel, where visitation is 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. June 28. Funeral at Harvest Baptist Church 1:00 p.m. June 29 with Josh Feltner officiating. Interment at Smith Cemetery in Lotts Creek.
