Carroll S. Sutton, 80
Richmond
Carroll S. Sutton, 80, widower of Dr. Charlotte Dingle Sutton passed away on Dec. 26, 2024 at his home. He was born in Henry County, Kentucky. on May 8, 1944 to the late John Sutton and Minnie Belle Eddins Sutton. He grew up in Bethlehem, Kentucky and was a graduate from Henry County High School and EKU. He was a member of MENSA and worked at many different places, always with computers. He worked for NASA where he worked on the Voyager Project. Mr. Sutton was retired from Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
He is survived by his three siblings, Betty Sutton Downey, Vernon "Huck" Sutton (Margaret) and Lee Sutton McGee; special niece, Linda Shuck Weber (David) as well as multiple nieces, nephews, special friends and caregivers, Cindy McQueen Powell , Justin Spurlock, Chris, Tanya, Blake, Lauren Livesay, Hailey Powell, Judy McQueen and Cory Powell.
He is preceded in passing by both his wife and parents.
Services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Pleasureville Baptist Church in Pleasureville, Kentucky with Bro. Rick Downing officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that Donations to be made to Central Kentucky Wildlife Hospital, Dale Rd. Paint Lick, KY 40461 or Madison County Animal Shelter, 1386 Richmond Rd. Berea, KY 40403.
