CORINNE RUCKER Obituary

Corinne Waford Rucker passed away on Sunday August 17, 2014, and took her place in Heaven.
She was a member of Pleasureville Baptist Church. She had retired in 1995 from AT&T.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otha and Janey Waford; brothers, James, Truman, Tommy, Hubert and Garry Waford; two sisters, Birdie Way and Anna Crawford Taul.
She is survived by two children, Steven Porter Rucker (Marsha) Frankfort and Janey Deane Lewis (Curt, deceased), Pleasureville; six grandchildren Steven Craig Rucker (Alisha), Lawrenceburg, Matthew Lewis, Megan Lewis and Haley Lewis all of Pleasureville, Stevi Gottler (Gabe), Frankfort and Jenny Richardson (Paul), Frankfort; four great grandchildren, Talon, Luke, Lyla and Gavin; three sisters, Patty McGaughey, Shelbyville, Billie Sloan, Bagdad and Waldine Vest (Donald), Bagdad and one brother, Larry Waford, Shelbyville.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 7 p.m. Friday August 22, 2014, at Shannon Funeral Home, with Steven C. Rucker officiating.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Ms. Rucker continued her giving even in death, contributing her body to the University of Louisville in hopes that others may benefit.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Vanissa Waford Scholarship Fund C/O Citizens Deposit Bank, 5230 S. Main Street, Eminence, KY 40019 or the Markey Cancer Center 800 Rose Street, Lexington, KY 40536.
