William Mahoney Obituary
Turners Station
William Mahoney passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023. He worked for Henry County Public Schools Transportation for 38 years as a bus driver, mechanic, trainer and Assistant Transportation Director. Family was always number one to William. Son of the late Charlie and Alma Mae Mahoney, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Joe, Carl Ray, Terry Lee and Richard and his father-in-law, Daniel Jones.
William is survived by his wife, Becky (Jones) Mahoney; daughter, Amber Mahoney; grandson, Ashton Zane Mahoney; sisters: Cuba Palmer, Bonnie Smith, Charlene Emery,
Rita Snow and Brenda Smith; mother-in-law, Joyce Jones; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, officiated by Brother Darren Wolford with Billy Spegal assisting with burial in New Castle Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
