Gloria June Lansford
July 8, 1936 to January 25, 2022
Gloria Lansford was 85 years old when she went to be with the Lord. She was born in the Heights Hospital in Houston, Texas on July 8, 1936 to proud parents William George Tabb and Mary Mable Tabb. She left her Earthly home on January 25, 2022.
She is survived by her husband, Elliott Lansford. They were married on March 26, 1959 and were married for 62 years. They had two children, Mikeal Lansford and Marol Lansford Waldrop. She had five grandchildren, Ryan Lansford, Phoebe Lansford Moore, Tori Lansford, Garrett Waldrop and Grant Waldrop.
Gloria filled her days with designing home décor, creating wreaths, flower arrangements, making faux cakes, writing short stories, and repurposing Hershey kisses foil into junk jewelry that she would even wear in public.
She graduated from Conroe High School in 1954 and Sam Houston State University in December of 1957 where she was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa sorority. She was an elementary school teacher for 34 years, but her passion for teaching didn't stop there. She continued to touch the lives of many others once retired through home schooling and teaching Sunday school. She attended Christ Church United Methodist in The Woodlands, Texas. She was Queen Mum of the Klassie Lassies, co-vice president of the UMW, chairperson of the Helping Hands Craft Organization at CCUM. She had several articles published and also appeared in the Coronet Magazine in 1945. These are just a few of her accomplishments, but she was most proud of her family. Gloria made every gathering memorable and will be missed most for the joy and laughter she brought to others.
A Celebration of Life for Gloria Lansford is schedule for Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Christ Church United Methodist located at 6363 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands, Texas. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. with the Celebration of Life starting at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Willowhole Cemetery in North Zulch, Texas. Flowers and condolences can be sent to 6363 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands, Texas 77381.
