Sharon Martin Obituary
Sharon was born in Weatherford, Texas in 1954 and later attended Texas Tech University where she met the love of her life, best friend and soul mate, Richard Allen Martin while he was stationed at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock, Texas. They secretly eloped in 1976 and later welcomed a daughter, Misty, in 1980, followed by another daughter, Tiffany, in 1985.
Sharon was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Sharon was a woman of many passions which included traveling, shopping, cooking, baking, scuba diving/snorkeling, music, ministry, and later in life, her grandchildren, whom she was so proud of and loved so much.
She will be missed by her children, Misty, Tiffany (Scott); grandchildren, Christian, Madison, Cayden, Pryce, Callum, Sienna, Summer; sister/brother, Anita and Jerry; brother/sister-in-law, Michael (Anona); nieces/nephews, Karen, Barry, Kevin, Michael Brandon, Rose; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Richard; her parents, Otto and Wanda; brother, Johnny; and niece, Kim.
A celebration of Sharon's life will be held on Monday, October 14, at 1:00 PM at The Foundry Methodist Church, 8350 Jones Road, Houston, TX 77065. A reception will immediately follow.
Flowers can be sent to the church or a memorial donation in her honor can be made to the church or to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

My best memory of your mom was at Thanksgiving picnics. Lots of laughs and smiles and not only was your mom there but so was your dad. She always had a beautiful smiles and always happy to see everyone. She will be missed.
