DON COONROD
Don W. Coonrod was born December 3, 1940 on the farm in rural Munden, KS to Wesley and Esther (Dugger) Coonrod and passed away November 6, 2025 at the age of 84.
Don grew up in rural Munden attending Munden High School. He later attended and graduated from Brown Mackie College with an Associates Degree in Business. Don worked for Orscheln's Farm Store for over 25 years retiring as the manager of the Goodland, KS location.
Don served in the Army National Guard for many years. He was also a lifelong member of the Elks Club in Goodland.
In 1968, Don moved to Goodland, KS where he made his home and raised his two children, Devin and Cheryl. On December 30, 1988, Don married Barbara Hargraves which grew his family even more by adding three children, Lee, Jennifer, and Allyssa to his household. In 1992, Don and Barbara moved to Hays, KS where he spent the remainder of his life.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Esther Coonrod.
Don is survived by his wife Barbara Coonrod of Hays, KS, Sons Devin (Betty) Coonrod of Wichita, KS, Lee (Lisa) Kraich of Olathe, KS, Daughters Cheryl Coonrod of Temecula, CA, Jennifer (Ryan) Doyle of Goodland, KS, and Allyssa Kraich, One sister Loris (Bill) New of Tonganoxie, KS. Grandchildren, Jacquelyn Olson, Julianna Olson, Ryan Willis, Joshua Kraich, Braden Kraich, and Bella Kraich, many nieces, nephews, cousins and several friends.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 14, 2025 at 11:00am at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, 1322 19th St. Belleville, KS.
Burial will be held at Goodland Cemetery, Goodland, KS at 1:00pm Saturday, November 15, 2025 with a graveside military service.
Viewing and Visitation will be held Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 1:00 - 6:00pm at the funeral home.
