Christopher Lee "Bebe" Babella

FORT WORTH, Texas - Christopher 'BEBE' Lee Babella passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Chris was born on Feb. 7, 1981, to Roberta and Joseph Babella in Williston, N.D. In 1994, Chris moved with his mother and brothers to Lincoln, Mont., to attend and graduate from Lincoln High School in 1999.

After graduation Chris entered the Navy and become an Aviation Mechanist Mate Third Class within a year, which enabled him to serve as Flight Chief on the USS Kennedy Naval Ship and at various Naval bases .

While stationed in Fort Worth, Chris met Stacy Beard, whom he married after his duty in the Navy on June 12, 2004. At that time Chris worked with his best Texan friend, Rick Lewis, as a master carpenter restoring real estate properties. In the spring of 2006 until his death , Chris was employed by Ventura Transfer Co. as a HAZMAT supervisor .

Chris enjoyed life to the fullest and worked hard to accomplish any job he was faced with. He was first in line when a lending hand was needed to whomever needed it. While in Lincoln, Chris enjoyed four-wheeling, snowmobiling, and anything else pertaining to the outdoors, especially hunting with his grandfather and brothers. In Texas, Chris enjoyed remodeling his and Stacy's home, playing pool (and winning) with his friends in his poolroom that he built, along with boating, camping, and fishing.

Surviving Chris is his mother, Roberta Babella of Lincoln; brothers, Jeremy Babella, East Helena, and Nick Babella, Whitefish; grandparents Reuben O. and Marien Hagen, East Helena; aunts, Elone (Larry) Vaughan, Forsyth; Renae (Palmer) Hardeland, Shelby; and Debra Hagen, East Helena; cousins, David Sperry Jr. and Patrick (Christine) Schwarz, Jenny (Scott) Wisdom and their children. From Texas, Chris is survived by his wife Stacy; mother- and father-in-law, Anita and Robert Moore; father-in-law, Ronny Beard; brothers-in-law, Wesley and Ryan Beard.

Chapel services will be scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 15, from Hagler-Anderson Chapel with interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charitable organization of the donor's choice.

Connie Rae (Shepherd) Hood

HENDERSON, Nev. - Connie Rae (Shepherd) Hood, 59, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, at her home in Henderson, Nev.

Connie was born to Floyd and Betty Shepherd on Aug. 20, 1947, in Helena. She attended schools in Helena and graduated from Montana State University in 1971. Connie married Warren Hood on Aug. 24, 1968. Warren and Connie have lived in several cities in the past 38 years, including Salem, Mo.; Elko, Nev.; North Bend, Ore.; Anchorage, Alaska; and most recently made their home in Henderson, Nev., close to their two daughters Stephanie and Amanda.

Connie was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She enjoyed being a stay-at- home mother and raising her two daughters. After the daughters moved out on their own, Connie went to work as a bookkeeper. She was involved with a variety of crafts, most notably her quilting. She shared her works of art with her family so we all have a part of Connie with us.

Connie is survived by her husband, Warren Hood, and daughters Stephanie and Amanda, of Henderson; parents, Floyd and Betty Shepherd of Helena; brothers Dan (Lolly) Shepherd, of Parker, Colo.; and Jerry (Tracie) Shepherd, of Helena; mother-in-law, Audrey Hood, of Helena; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held. A reception honoring Connie's life will be held Saturday, Sept. 16, - at 3 p.m. at 4345 Cougar Dr. Helena.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association, 710 2nd Ave, Suite 900 Seattle, WA 98104.
