Edward Stofko Obituary
March 3, 1951 - April 30, 2025
Edward R. Stofko, Jr. age 74, of Oro Valley, Arizona, returned to the Lord on Wednesday, April 30th, 2025 while surrounded by his family. Edward was born to Edward and Marilyn Stofko and grew up in Joliet, Illinois. He retired as CEO of Rocky Mountain Credit Union in Helena, Montana in 2018 after a successful banking career that spanned over 45 years. Ed's most notable achievement was through his leadership and strategic management. Edward successfully created the path for incredible membership growth and financial stability, and successful career paths for those who worked with him. Many of the people he stood with still remain at RMCU today. He was given many awards during his time at RMCU, including "Boss of the Year."
Edward enjoyed his retirement listening to and collecting vinyl records, reading history, collecting exotic cacti and succulents, spending time with his family, and attending his church, Oro Valley Baptist Church.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Dolores of 45 years, his loving sons Jeremy D. Stofko, (Joliet, Ill), Michael R. Stofko, (Loveland, CO) and Justin R. Stofko, (Oro Valley, AZ), his grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Adylynn J. Stofko, (Michael Stofko) and Keegan R. Hasstedt, (Michael Stofko), his sister Linda Clark, (David Clark) of Texas, and various nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, both of Weatherford, TX. In lieu of flowers, please send all donations in Edward's name to Oro Valley Baptist Church in Oro Valley, Arizona.
A very special and sincere thanks to Sheila Harvey, his caregiver, in his final days for all your comfort, grace, care, and love you showered upon Edward. Our family is forever grateful for the care you bestowed upon our loved one.
