Philip Levis Obituary

Philip Levis

December 13, 1962 - April 2, 2025

Philip Levis passed away quietly while in the Baja of Mexico. His greatest joy will be to reunite with his son and father - both Williams and deeply loved and missed. Phil's Greek Australian stamp on life will be fondly remembered by family and friends everywhere. And the dedication to his construction legacy lives on. Few exist like him and many were touched by his outrageous style and generosity. Phil left impressions cherished forever. A memorial service will be held on August 15th at Resurrection Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. and then we will head to the York Bar to toast the crazy bugger from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.

"Dear Philip, today your family, friends, and loved ones remember you with the immense love you left in our hearts. For me, in particular, Lupita Arellano, you always made me very happy, you were always a respectful and loving man with me. I thank God and life for having known you, always so handsome and dashing, with such a wonderful smile. I will never forget that you waited 3 hours for me on our first date. Thank you for the beautiful moments we shared. See you in the future. I will love you forever, my dear Philip Levis. Sincerely, Lupita Arellano"

Still seems hard to believe. The one thing that helps with losing you is knowing you are with Wills again, you were an amazing dad. You were so fun and we feel lucky to have called you a good friend. God Speed Phil-Love Terry and Ian

Sadly gone too soon, Philip will always be remembered for his warmth, generosity and humanity.
A man of the world and diverse talents, such as star of our school musicals, a chef and also builder.
Philip's greatest accomplishments in life however, would be in his roles of loving father, son, brother, cousin and friend. In these he flourished.
Condolences to all who are feeling Philip's loss and missing his big heart and beautiful smile.

Rest in peace dear Philip.

Phil was a quiet champion for ExplorationWorks science center in Helena MT. We worked together on several important projects, not the least of which was the Air Wall dedicated to Phil's late son. He was always willing to bring his brain, his brawn and his wallet to make certain the various projects were accomplished. After I moved on from ExWorks, good fortune lead Phil to choose my neighborhood rural bar and grille (York Bar) as his hangout, so I got a few extra years of good times with him--lucky me! Hope to see lots of Phil's friends at the York Bar for his remembrance in August!

My beautiful cousin and friend.
What can I say.. Life will never be the same without you. If only you believed how much you were loved and how deeply you touched those who had the privilege of knowing you.

You were the kindest, most generous, warmest, gentle individual, with the biggest of hearts, larger than life.

I will forever treasure our lifelong memories together and our hilarious phone conversations. I still wait for you to call. I miss you so much.

You will forever be in my heart and soul. I will love you always. Until we meet again dear cuz.

Philip dear cousin you are sorely missed. Together I remember so much laughter, adventure & love, growing into adults, looking forward to the cards life was about to hand us. That journey sometimes joyous, sometimes bumpy, ended abruptly & far too early. You will live on in all our hearts, larger than life, louder & bolder than ever! I will always love you. Costas

Philip Levis was a father, a son, a brother, a lover, a friend, a nephew, a cousin and Uncle.

Philip cherished being Greek- he was our own Zorba and the embodiment of `Philotimo´.

Philip was adored by everyone that had the privilege of knowing him. He was creative, funny, a brilliant craftsman, gentle, kind, stubborn and a stoic and loyal friend. He lived life to the fullest, travelled the world and lived for love.

I will long for my little brother until the day I die.

Phil began as the contractor of an amazing construction project on our home but quickly became a friend. Upon completion of the home´s addition, he presented us with a thoughtful photo book documenting the adventure. He also contributed to wonderful projects at Exploration Works and took great pride in his work. He was a big guy with an even bigger heart, heavy with the loss of his son. I have thought of him often over the years and send that big guy a great big hug.
