Virginia Barghultz Obituary

Virginia Barghultz, 77, of Livingston, died Saturday evening, March 31, 2007, at St. Peter's Hospital in Helena, surrounded by her children, after a brief illness.

Graveside services will be held at Calvary Cemetery, Saturday, April 7, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Dale Yurkovic officiating. A reception will follow the service.

Virginia was born Oct. 10, 1929, in Ryegate to Joseph and Mary Schaff. She grew up on a farm and attended schools in Ryegate. She met George Barghultz and they were married on April 21, 1949. She and George were married for 52 years. They lived in Livingston most of their marriage and raised four children. She worked with her husband in the construction industry throughout Montana. She loved crafts, decorating for holidays and especially enjoyed working in her beautiful yard. Her pride and joy were her two dogs, Cheyanne and Jinger.

Survivors include her children, Debbie (Ron) Stefanik of Helena, David Barghultz of Livingston, Davina (Carl) Cross of Helena and Dennis Barghultz of Helena; grandchildren, T.C. (Tammy), Shilo, Jessie, Maurya, Jeromy and Emmy; great-grandchildren, Bree, Tori, Tyvan, Sakira, Michael, Casey and also nieces and nephews.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; her son, Douglas; her brother, Chris Schaff; her sisters, Maggie Males, Rosie Aids, Phyl Shadley and grandson, Joe Donahue.
