This is around a picnic table at Aunt Virginia and Uncle Jim Butt´s home in Portsmouth, Ohio. We´d come over to get together with them after the war. Grandma Emma lived in the apartment over the garage as she´d retired from working at the bank and had rented out her house in Johnstown. They asked her to see how she liked living there, but, though she liked getting to be close to her family , she was lonely for her home and moved back to her house in a little over a year. You can see her peeking over her(Mildred - Aunt Midge) daughter´s shoulder!
I´m the ten year old with the pompadour and Jimmy, 8 and a half is nearby along with our little brothers at each end Steve Butt and Rick Cooper, who were almost two years apart. My Dad, Aubyn Cooper (Uncle Auby) is there along with Aunt Virginia´s Dad, Mr. Yeager, who lived with them.

William was another first cousin whom I met when he was two at his Grandma Emma´s funeral in Johnstown, Ohio. His parents brought only him from Ft. Worth as the family had met his older brothers, Byron and Charles.
He thought she was sleeping...His Aunt was my mother, Mildred (Midge) Butt Cooper (Huntington, WV and Chillicothe, OH, and his Uncle was James (Jim) Butt ( Portsmouth and Chillicothe, OH) His Dad was Byron K. Butt of Ft.Worth, TX
Other first cousins included Richard (Rick) Cooper(Alexandria , VA, Dr. James (Jim) Jim Butt 11 (deceased - 2021), (Columbia, MO,)and Stephen (Steve) Butt, (Chillicothe, OH).
