Frances LaVonne Ausbrooks, the matriarch of the Ausbrooks' family and founder of Ausbrooks Cars, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at eighty-seven years of age. She was born Saturday, October 17, 1936 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late Enos Bell Newport and Emma Pearl (Wolf) Newport. Frances attended Crooked Oak Public Schools in Del City. She met Paul Ausbrooks and they married February 4, 1952. Frances and Paul moved to Okmulgee where they started Ausbrooks Cars in 1967. She enjoyed fishing, car rides and trips to Branson. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Frances was a longtime member of Crosstown Pentecostal Holiness Church where she helped with many bean dinners throughout the years.
In later years, she worked the concession stand at the family skating rink. Frances cherished her daily phone calls with her family and anxiously awaited Eddie's 6:00 P.M. call. Frances faithfully prayed for her family and friends. She was a very anointed woman of God. She operated in many spiritual gifts that benefited so many people in both her family and her community. She was known by many for her bold prayer life and willingness to intercede for people going through hard things in life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Enos Newport and Emma Snow, her husband Paul Ausbrooks, a daughter, Gloria Greene and siblings, Euline Dean, Billie Lamb, Frank Newport, Bob Newport and Larry Snow.
Survivors include her children, Eddie Ausbrooks and wife Angie, Sharon Martin and husband Carl, Dwayne Ausbrooks and wife Debbie, Anna banks and husband Rick and Paula Delso and husband Bill, grandchildren, Trisha Hobbs, Angela Kelley and husband Richard, Ace Ausbrooks and wife Natalie, Bobby Pollard and wife Renee, Danielle Minyard and husband Trey, Kacee Bender and husband Jake, Summer Butler, Stephanie Martin, Kim Clevenger, Stoney Martin and wife Stephanie, Melissa Ausbrooks, Danny Ausbrooks and wife Rachel, Rocky Ausbrooks and wife Samantha, Spike Casey and wife Trenace, Johnathan Green, Jason Fuller and wife Mandy, Randall Fuller and wife Jennifer, April Aryan and husband Luke, Summer Johnson and Shane Delso and wife Hilary, forty-six great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, siblings, George Newport, Danny Newport, Pat Hamilton, Linda Cope, Lois Wadley, Susie Foreman, Phillip Snow and Ronnie Snow and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit the funeral home on Sunday, June 30, 2024 from 2:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M. A funeral service honoring Mrs. Ausbrooks' life will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 1, 2024 at the First Baptist Church of Okmulgee with Reverend Rocky Ausbrooks and Dr. Dennis Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Jason Fuller, Randall Fuller, Stoney Martin, Spike Casey, Gunner Clevenger and Shane Delso. Honorary Casketbearers will be Ace Ausbrooks, Danny Ausbrooks, Rocky Ausbrooks, Johnathan Green and Bobby Pollard.
