Lillie Mae Dixon, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, at the age of 93. Born on January 4, 1932, and raised in Council Hill, Lillie Mae lived a life rooted in faith, family and tireless devotion to others.
On July 2, 1948, she married the love of her life, Doyle H. Dixon. Together, they built a life in Pumpkin Center, where they settled in 1967 and raised five children. Lillie Mae and Doyle were not only partners in life but also in business - owning and operating Dixon Drilling and Doyle Dixon Grocery which became staples in their community.
Lillie Mae was a woman of remarkable strength and purpose. She never stopped working, always putting the needs of others before her own. Whether she was tending to her garden, sewing, playing dominos or solitaire, cheering on her favorite horses at the track, or rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs, she did it all with a determined spirit and a heart full of love. Her coconut pie was also legendary - often the star of charity auctions.
A devoted servant of the Lord, Lillie Mae lived her faith daily and instilled those values in her family. She was lovingly known as "Meme" to her grandchildren, a name that carries with it countless memories of warmth, wisdom, and unconditional love.
She is survived by her sister: Dortha Lee Spring; her children: Linda Doylene White and husband Roger of Fort Gibson, Richard Dixon and wife Myrna of Catoosa, Kelly Jensen and husband James of Biling, Mo.; her grandchildren: Melissa Leedy, Michael Dill, Susan Dill, Andrew Dill, Justin Dixon, Kendall Mense, Chase Davis and Cole Davis; her great-grandchildren: Brandon, Zachary, Nicholas, Stephanie, Garrett, Cody, Dustin, Brittany, Gavin, Mariah, Mikele, Josephine, Claire, Stella and one on the way.
Her 22 great-great-grandchildren also carry forward her legacy of love.
Lillie Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle H. Dixon; her daughters Sue Dill and Vicky White (and son-in-law Ricky White); her parents, Jim and Dortha Dearmore; her siblings James "Buck" Dearmore (and wife Jerry), Gladys Dearmore, Maxine Dearmore, Alvin Dearmore, Lou Dearmore, John Dearmore and Roy Dearmore.
